Alice Armstrong fuses modern Blues, Funk, Soul and Rock ’n’ Roll in electrifying, sold-out shows across the UK and Europe. Backed by a world-class band and often referred to as a combination of Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin, her performances are described as a ‘party’ by fans and press, leaving audiences laughing, crying and dancing all the way home.
Voted UK Contemporary Artist of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, Armstrong also won the 2024 UK Blues Challenge, resulting in her band heading to Memphis, where they represented the UK and reached the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge on Beale Street. She then went on to win the European Blues Challenge in Croatia, triumphing over 22 other countries to bring the trophy back to the UK. Following a live appearance with Cerys Matthews, her music now features regularly on BBC Radio 2, as well as in the IBBA’s Most Played list and Joe Bonamassa’s Spotify playlists, leading to her performing aboard his iconic Mediterranean Blues Cruise III.

“Alice Armstrong has one of the most emotional and far-ranging vocals, such a sweet and melodic voice, that, in an instant, she can blow the horns off the devil himself… Seeing Alice and her band performing live is one of life's great pleasures”

"To say that I was completely blown away as she kicked her set off this evening would probably be a huge understatement. Based on what I’ve heard this evening and the quality of musicians who are so happy to perform with her, I’m convinced that Alice will make it to the very top… For me, it’s not just the quality of her voice; it’s the absolute versatility of it. Imagine the sounds of Maria Callas, Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin all coming from the same person. That to me is Alice Armstrong and that to me is what makes her so good.“

"Something that is undeniable about Alice Armstrong is the sheer power in her voice… Often likened to Janis Joplin, (she) is guaranteed to give you goosebumps… When you go to an Alice Armstrong gig, expect to laugh, cry and everything in between; she’s a born entertainer with a voice that very few people could rival, if you can get to one of her gigs, I would recommed going to hear what could easily be the voice of a generation.“

“Armstrong (gives) a masterclass in Blues performance, with buckets of Soul to spare…. An unforgettable evening of live music… brimming with talent and passion. Armstrong in particular, proved herself to be a powerhouse and genuine performer, backed by a band that was equally remarkable.”
